A Class of 2010 Senior at Legacy High School, we photographed her senior session recently on a beautiful afternoon here in Southeast Texas.








She wanted a fun session in a few different locations around Beaumont, and moving quickly with her family and dog in tow, we had a blast








She *does* have beautiful eyes

From there we headed to the West side of Beaumont, to some property they keep their horses on… the sun was getting into the perfect position for skimming light across the tops of these wild flowers:





The horses were nice enough to post expertly for quite a while as we moved around them:





To complete Chelsea’s Texas Senior shoot, she changed (again ) into something a little more cowgirl – the blue against the red really popped:





I promised I wouldn’t show the spittin’ pitcher, but suffice it to say, I don’t think her friends back in Ohio would recognize the Texas beauty queen – all we needed was a field of buttercups to complete the day

Today’s senior is an aspiring Westbrook graduating senior Aaron. If you recognize Aaron’s eyes, they’re duplicates of his lovely sister Kyra, whose gorgeous wedding we covered back in January

Aaron plays drums in the band, guitar for the ladies and visualizes whirled peas. We began with he and his brothers in the Alex Durley Stadium stands at Westbrook cranking out some taps in the bright sunlight:






The guy is a master with the sticks, he was spinning one at this moment in his left hand and skimming the top of it with the other just tossed with his right:





We moved out of the stands and under the stadium – Aaron brought out his six-string and began playing and singing for the next 30 minutes or so – very talented:








At one point a crowd began to gather while he was performing…





I think he made something like $12 that afternoon, (enough for us to stop at Sonic on the way home, yes!).





Unfortunately ladies, I understand he has a girlfriend.





The sun was beginning to set and shadows stretched across the sidewalk – we photographed a few more pensive moments as the session drew to a close.

Caitlin is a senior at Westbrook High School here in Beaumont, getting ready to tackle Texas A&M next year and wanted memories of her senior year etched in paper

Blessed with a huge smile, we had a lot of fun that day photographing her at a few new spots and an old one or 2. We missed getting to shoot on the McFaddin Ward house grounds by a few minutes, so instead headed over to a local park and church to take advantage of the peak season for flower gardens in our area:








I love the innocence of that photo with the Dandelion From there Caitlin wanted a little more urban setting, so we headed to lots of broken brick, wood and concrete:

Then some time along our river, the time flew by fast!





An avid tennis player, boxer on the US Olympic team and secret industrial spy for Revlon, Caitlin stays busy in her spare time caring for the elderly walking the mall.






She has a bright future ahead of her as she attends A&M next year – good luck Caitlin!

With the weather finally turning nicer, Elissa was the first to take the plunge. Coming into Beaumont from Mauriceville, Elissa is a multi-sport star for the LCM Battlin’ Lady Bears and the recent winner of the American Idol star Katharine McPhee look-alike contest.

I made that last part up but she could win, just sayin…

Well… you really can’t tell from her “these boots are made for walkin’” photo…





How about this one?





Not quite… tho you get a good view of her grandmother’s 1953 class ring, a family heirloom I could tell they treasured a lot.








The above reminded me a lot of the old Coke commercials that used to play way back when… “I’d like to teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony! Grow apple trees and honey bees! somethin something somethin…”

I mentioned Elissa was a multi-sport star there, I forgot to say why…





As my basketball-playing nephews would say: “the girl has some hops!”

We finished off with a few more downtown before moving over to the river.














Elissa is planning to attend Texas A&M (boo! Hiss! :p ), so had to have some photos in her Aggie T-Shirt:

Pretty, athletic and smart! Congratulations on your senior year Elissa, good luck in all you plan to do.

The area is beautiful, too bad we were nearly blown away by the wind that day.








Taken in and around the seawall and Lamar State College Port Arthur, I love the historical part of Port Arthur.








This one was taken downtown, around the old greyhound bus terminal. There are some beautiful abandoned buildings all around there, and one playful baby possum





This one does a good job of showing some elation all seniors go through heading towards graduation – finally!

Trey is graduating this semester from Bridge City High School, where, according to him… he’s a triple letterman in band, BPA and the ladies.





Planning to attend ETBU next year, Trey is on his way to a bright future





The weather was perfect that day, so Trey brought his sax out down by the river and wailed a bit for us:











The man has style.

Laura, as co-valedictorian from the prestigious “Texas Academy Of Leadership In The Humanities”:





And Emily, from the University of Houston with a degree in Industrial Design:





We spent Saturday in the park photographing some celebration photos of both of them – some together and some 3 feet off the ground








I can vaguely remember feeling like that when I graduated, tho I didn’t get that much air when I celebrated It had been a while since Emily had gotten any portraits done, so we had some fun and shot some relaxed images I think she’ll love.

Anyways… on to the images! Shaine is a gorgeous girl with a great personality and she rocked her senior portraits:




















When not playing softball for Westbrook High School or any of a hundred other activities, Shaine hangs out out the local skateboard park; we just had to get some of her best buds in on the madness

I’ll have many more great images of these two posted in the next week – we photographed Shaine all around downtown Beaumont and Jharell at Memorial High School and downtown Port Arthur. Both were up for pretty much anything and I think we captured some fun lifetime memories for them and their families.

We definitely had a lot of fun, each just kinda did their own thing and we did our best to capture what made them, them.















There were waaay too many images to blog all of them, a sure sign we had a blast! Jordan and Emily, thank you for the great time capturing your senior year portraits.

We started out in a more urban location, looking for a little something different. The morning sun beams made for some outstanding photos:

Then we moved on to a local ranch, getting some nice photos with her horse “cricket” and the surrounding pastures and river:

I really enjoyed the session and Malissa has some great photos she can use for gifts.
