Devin and Michael were in from Dallas a couple weekends ago, so we thought it would be the perfect time to photograph their engagement session in preparation for their October wedding. Even more laid back than I am, we were able to get some truly fun and relaxed images shooting all over downtown, Lamar University and everywhere in between. The weather was threatening rain all afternoon, but instead it gave us some tremendous cloudy skies for our backgrounds:

I wanted to experiment with some tall pampa grass framing the photo, Devin nearly lost a shoe getting in and out of this jungle.

Later, long after sunset, we had yet to get some images at Lamar – Devin and Michael had met at Florida A&M University and we wanted some images in a campus-like setting. Some of those are in their gallery, but here’s a quick, slightly blurry, and still one of my favorite images of the day parting shot:
