Morgin and Patrick’s Engagement

This past week the weather here in Southeast Texas was gorgeous, perfect for an engagement photo session in downtown Beaumont.:)

I met Patrick and Morgan at the Barking Dog Coffee Lounge where we warmed up the smiles and the camera with a few images around the spectacular interior – Jody and Tanya have done an amazing job of adding a little swank to the downtown area. Stop in when you get a chance.

Patrick said he “was up for anything”, Morgin agreed and that’s all I needed to hear! First, we moved to the street – Morgin and Patrick were stopping traffic; me? I was trying to not become a speed bump.:)

A few photos at a nearby brickwall and grassy knoll and we were off looking for a bit more grungier locales. I knew of the great abandoned warehouse nearby that would take full advantage of the feel we were looking for, except for one thing, it wasn’t quite abandoned – some people were living toward the back and we were interrupting their afternoon siesta – we left relatively quickly, changed and headed to another place I found that would give us more of the atmosphere we wanted to capture for Patrick and Morgin’s engagement portrait experience. Late afternoon sun gives great light for outdoor photography and this afternoon the color was perfect.
