Blue Like Jazz

I had the opportunity to go and see my brother Jerry and a good friend of ours – Kay Miller – perform for a benefit function at Madisons a few nights ago. Kay plays in lots of venues around the area, including Poblano Grill , Sugas Deep South Cuisine and Jazz Bar and our church, Christ Community in Beaumont. Jerry, who usually works for the Beaumont Fire Department and in real estate with Coldwell Southern Homes, has performed in many places over the years, but I hadn’t seen them together yet. That night, with a full house looking on, they killed it. 🙂

Im never gonna dance again

With the lights turned down low, sax wailing, Jerry and Kay crooning, and keyboard being tickled, I swear I saw a few in the audience swaying with lighters raised overhead.

nobody plays saxophone like Jerry

If you ever get the chance to see either of them perform, do what you have to do to get there. 🙂
