Nine!
David turned two this past week! We invited his friends to his little soiree, surely the bash of the year, this past Sunday. We began (as papa and various uncles were still assembling toys outside) in the dining room, singing happy birthday to the all-grown-up young man. He wasn’t too sure about all the people in his house, but soon warmed to them.
The festivities began indoors, but soon spilled over into the backyard – cake and ice cream for everyone! Barely able to contain themselves with the new toys to obviously be played with, it was a bit of struggle to get them to sit for long, no matter how good the incredible edibles were.
Finally, with that done and sticky fingers all around, David and his posse got down to the serious business of playing with his new and old toys.
Of course, he rec’d lots of offers for help in opening his presents:
Now we can’t get David to come in the house in the evening because he wants to be “outgie” shooting the basketball. For someone who’s just turned 2, the guy is amazingly accurate with his shots on goal – maybe the Rockets could use a decent jump shooter.
When asked how old he is, he raises 5 fingers and says “9”… Happy birthday, little man. 🙂
