Believe it or not, there are plenty to be found in Beaumont. You will need to book early to reserve your desired location, but they are out there. Most will cater the reception for you or work with your desired caterer. I’ve photographed wedding receptions in many locations, these are preferred
Art Museum of Southeast Texas - Classic and beautiful - one of my favorite venues.
Beaumont Country Club - available for wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers and ceremonies.
Brentwood Country Club - Classic tradition in Beaumont’s West End.
Holiday Inn Atrium Plaza - several places to choose from - from small to large ballroom space to the dramatic atrium with waterfall, they have it all. The atrium makes for beautifully dramatic photos.
MCM Elegante - several ball rooms to choose from, from small to large to huge
The Neches Room - perfect for the small to medium sized reception. The large windows let in amazing light during the day/early evening - your afternoon bridal photos are gorgeous here
Poblano Grill - Very nice location that hosts receptions and banquets.
Sugas Deep South Cuisine - Premier facility - large room available upstairs with private bar, band stand, dance floor, and balcony.
I’ll update these as I find more to recommend.
Keep in mind that I am available for travel so even if you don’t get married in the Beaumont area, I would love to hear more about your wedding!
David turned two this past week! We invited his friends to his little soiree, surely the bash of the year, this past Sunday. We began (as papa and various uncles were still assembling toys outside) in the dining room, singing happy birthday to the all-grown-up young man. He wasn’t too sure about all the people in his house, but soon warmed to them.

The festivities began indoors, but soon spilled over into the backyard - cake and ice cream for everyone! Barely able to contain themselves with the new toys to obviously be played with, it was a bit of struggle to get them to sit for long, no matter how good the incredible edibles were.

Finally, with that done and sticky fingers all around, David and his posse got down to the serious business of playing with his new and old toys.

Of course, he rec’d lots of offers for help in opening his presents:

Now we can’t get David to come in the house in the evening because he wants to be “outgie” shooting the basketball. For someone who’s just turned 2, the guy is amazingly accurate with his shots on goal - maybe the Rockets could use a decent jump shooter.

When asked how old he is, he raises 5 fingers and says “9″… Happy birthday, little man.
I had the opportunity to go and see my brother Jerry and a good friend of ours - Kay Miller - perform for a benefit function at Madisons a few nights ago. Kay plays in lots of venues around the area, including Poblano Grill , Sugas Deep South Cuisine and Jazz Bar and our church, Christ Community in Beaumont. Jerry, who usually works for the Beaumont Fire Department and in real estate with Coldwell Southern Homes, has performed in many places over the years, but I hadn’t seen them together yet. That night, with a full house looking on, they killed it.

With the lights turned down low, sax wailing, Jerry and Kay crooning, and keyboard being tickled, I swear I saw a few in the audience swaying with lighters raised overhead.

If you ever get the chance to see either of them perform, do what you have to do to get there.
One of the great things I love about this job is the satisfaction of knowing my clients are pleased with my work. A quick email or phone call, they really make my day
Thanks for the sneak peek. I can’t wait to see the rest. We had a great time and yall were really awesome to work with! - Jamie
Thanks so much! I had fun today, and enjoyed working with you. Can’t wait to see what you got! -Malissa
I’m glad you guys enjoyed them, thank you for the opportunity to document your weddings, portraits and special occasions.
Malissa contacted me a few weeks ago about shooting a photo session to include as gifts to family for the upcoming Christmas holidays - what a great idea! The session was fun, relaxed and I only got a little horse poo on my shoes during
We started out in a more urban location, looking for a little something different. The morning sun beams made for some outstanding photos:

Then we moved on to a local ranch, getting some nice photos with her horse “cricket” and the surrounding pastures and river:

I really enjoyed the session and Malissa has some great photos she can use for gifts.
