Meagan and Ryder are Getting Married!

Combine perfect weather, perfect light, and a little Captain America and you get a few more of our favorite engagement photos from our time with Meagan and Ryder: It really was difficult to get them to let go of each other once in a while (which really is perfect for engagement photos 🙂 ). The above is one of my favorites from the whole day, from the color and foreground framing to the expression and the semi-hidden clutching going on 🙂 We had a lot of fun shooting around Beaumont, from there we headed over to Raos Bakery – a place Meagan and Ryder like to hang out in. I…

    It’s Summer!

Summer is here! Spent the afternoon at Port Neches Park with David and Elise – David is an old hand with the water fountains and jumped right in. Elise was pretty new and eased her way in before becoming a fish herself. 🙂 🙂 We’ll make some ice cream tomorrow, spend some time with family and watch the fireworks tomorrow night in downtown Beaumont – it should be a great weekend! Next up is Johnna and Adam’s wedding and Samantha and Blake’s engagement session – both beautiful! 🙂

    Beaumont Seniors | Chelsea

Chelsea wasn’t born in Texas, but she got here as soon as she could. 🙂 A Class of 2010 Senior at Legacy High School, we photographed her senior session recently on a beautiful afternoon here in Southeast Texas. She wanted a fun session in a few different locations around Beaumont, and moving quickly with her family and dog in tow, we had a blast 🙂 She *does* have beautiful eyes 🙂 From there we headed to the West side of Beaumont, to some property they keep their horses on… the sun was getting into the perfect position for skimming light across the tops of these wild flowers: The horses were…

Beaumont Weddings | Krystal and Ross ~ Part Trois

… and the culmination of all the preparation is here. Krystal and Ross have headed to St. Jude’s for their wedding ceremony. The day is gorgeous! (Please read the previous entries below to catch up on all that has gone on today – part one – getting ready , and part two – the first look 🙂 ) Krystal greets her dad as they prepare to walk down the aisle: St. Jude’s has a beautiful sanctuary: Ross and Krystal repeat their vows and exchange rings: Success! We did it! I love the walk of determination Krystal has here: 🙂 One of Krystal’s gifts to Ross this day was a nice…

    Beaumont Texas Seniors | Aaron

Class of 2010 coming your way! 🙂 Today’s senior is an aspiring 😉 Westbrook graduating senior Aaron. If you recognize Aaron’s eyes, they’re duplicates of his lovely sister Kyra, whose gorgeous wedding we covered back in January 🙂 Aaron plays drums in the band, guitar for the ladies and visualizes whirled peas. We began with he and his brothers in the Alex Durley Stadium stands at Westbrook cranking out some taps in the bright sunlight: 🙂 The guy is a master with the sticks, he was spinning one at this moment in his left hand and skimming the top of it with the other just tossed with his right: We…

Beaumont Weddings | Mona and Michael are Married!

Mona and Michael were married in a gorgeous wedding recently at the Brentwood Country Club here in Beaumont. The interior decor is a bit on the rustic side, but it mixed well with the hundreds of family photos, cards and flowers – like we were invited into Mona and Michael’s home to share in their day. An overflow crowd of relatives, friends, and co-workers were on-hand as witnesses to the event. We began earlier at the hair salon – Mona is checking out her guest sign-in book while getting prettier for the upcoming festivities: From there it was on to Brentwood… amazing things happen when she puts on her red…

Beaumont Weddings | Kyra and Ian – part deux

And… we’re back! Part two continues the story of Kyra and Ian’s day. In part one we left with Kyra stepping out of the Rolls in front of St. Michaels Orthodox Church into a beautiful floral-festooned chapel. The architecture and artwork is amazing there, gilted in gold, lit with chandeliers, with broad beams supporting them and the roof. Kyra and her dad making their way up the aisle, doesn’t she look radiant? All the work over the past few months has led up to this moment: Exchanging rings. Orthodox weddings have a flow to them unlike other Christian weddings, things just move along, from blessing of the rings, to exchanging…
