Morgin and Patrick Are Married!
Morgin and Patrick tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony a couple weeks ago. Beginning early in the morning until late at night – there’s just too many images for one topic, so I’ll start with the morning festivities today π
We begin early in the morning at Salon Mecca in Port Neches and the staple of any good wedding day up-do: hairspray!
All Morgin’s girls came out looking fabulous and ready for the day ahead! π From there we went to Morgin’s aunt’s home in Groves for a wedding day bridal brunch – a time for Morgin to spend quality girl time with her bridesmaids, mother, aunts and cousins. The first tradition was Morgin and each bridesmaid pulling a bit of thread from this cake – each person pulled a thread and a wedding cake charm was attached to the end. Each charm told the girl her fortune, predicting big and wonderful things ahead for her:
Of course Morgin’s charm was a Cinderella carriage π Morgin then passed gifts to everyone, bringing the first of many of the day’s tears and hugs from her mom π
Morgin’s girls then presented her with a “memories” book, filled with photos and mementos of their time growing up together (cue more tears, hugs and laughter):
A fun way to begin the day! π
From there we headed to the church for final preparation for the ceremony. Hillcrest Baptist in Nederland is a beautiful church and the weather, tho hot, was perfect π Morgin’s gorgeous dress:
Seconded by the superlative Sam from Houston, Patrick and his men arrive:
Meanwhile Morgin gets her dress laced up with help from her mom:
Almost done:
It’s amazing how much detail the bride goes into in making sure everything is *perfect*! Early morning hair salon trips, makeup, dress, garters, something old, something new, something borrowed… it can make for a pretty stressful leadup to the ceremony.
Meanwhile, Patrick has it so rough all he can do is play Mister Pianoman with his guys:
π Stress, we don’t need no steenkeeng stress! π
Patrick, his best man and brother Matthew, and their mom Beverly (awww π ):
… and the gorgeous Morgin is ready with all her beautiful bridesmaids:
With a dress that big, there really wasn’t a place for her to wait comfortably, so we just cleared the floor and let her rest in the middle π A few more fun ones of Patrick and his men:
One last relaxed bridal portrait, we’ll have the ceremony and reception at the Neches Room up soon! π
