Southeast Texas Family Photos | Michelle

Michelle and I met this past Fall at Devin and Michael’s wedding – since then we’ve discussed getting her portraits done in celebration of her upcoming graduation with her Masters Degree from Prarie View A&M a few times. She’s a teacher in the Port Arthur School District so finally this Spring we worked out a schedule to get them done. Luckily her daughter is graduating too and we were able to get both of them in the same afternoon. πŸ™‚ Shoes! πŸ™‚ Beautiful weather! Perfect for taking relaxed fun portraits by the pond. Here she is, graduating soon from high school, and yes, she’s just that smart. Just that smart,…

    50!

No, I’m not referring to some obscure line in an Anniston/Stiller movie – this past week my parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary! πŸ™‚ Held in the Fountainview room of the MCM Elegante’ hotel, it was standing-room only for friends and family of the groom and his bride. Note: If you are viewing this on our Facebook page, the images are much nicer on the actual blog post. They look so young still, they were obviously married as small children: Mom, dad and I went to hotel the night before for a few portraits: Little did mom know, dad had a reason for doing so, as he shaved his beard…

    Christmas Portraits – Southeast Texas

Whew! The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity, from personal family fun with our 2 little ones to the many family Christmas photo sessions. πŸ™‚ Here are a few of my favorites from the last few weeks – from 7 months to 96 years young, I really enjoyed being a part of your family for the holidays, even for a short period of time. πŸ™‚ Note: If you are viewing this on our Facebook page, the images are much nicer on the actual blog post. I usually take large group photos and then break the groups down into individual families and even quick individual portraits. It gives…

Christmas Portraits – David and Elise

Last week we took our little ones downtown for some images (they actually (mostly) cooperated!) – we found a perfect green and red spot and rewarded them with hot chocolate at Rao’s afterwards… “mmmm” as Elise would say. πŸ™‚ Note: If you are viewing this on our Facebook page, the images are much nicer on the actual blog post. Here’s a couple of our favorites – they’re not perfect, but with kids this dern cute they don’t have to be – and they have a couple grandmas that will tell you that themselves πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Those faces just make you grin no matter what. πŸ™‚ This one made it to…

    Three!

OK, several posts coming in the next few days, getting caught up on the busy months of November and December πŸ™‚ Note: If you are viewing this on our Facebook page, the images are much nicer on the actual blog post. David turned 3 a few weeks ago, he’s growing into a fine young man, tho he is sure is 4th birthday is “coming up” soon. πŸ™‚ He is into “Little Einsteins”, probably too much, maybe only surpassed by his craze for “choo choo trains”. πŸ™‚ Local bakeries do not make Little Einstein cakes anymore, so we improvised a bit and David had a blast. While things were being set…

    Snow in Beaumont?

Just a few pictures of our little ones (mostly David) enjoying the little bit of snow we received yesterday evening. Our neighborhood was one of the last for it to begin in, so it was barely enough to make a snowman, which we promptly proclaimed him to be “Oatmeal Jr.” πŸ™‚ It wasn’t much, but since it was the earliest snowfall on record, we have plenty of time to see a bit more (White Christmas anyone? πŸ™‚ ). Now if this isn’t a little man enjoying some snow, I don’t know what is πŸ™‚ Even Melanie and Elise made it out to see what was going on: I think Frosty…

Beaumont Family Portraits – The Morris Family

Recently a friend I’ve known forever contacted me to photograph some family Christmas portraits of her large-ish family – Yay! πŸ™‚ It’s an honor to be trusted to take anyone’s important portraits, doubly so when it’s a friend and a budding photographer like Hannah. Here are some of my favorites from the afternoon: The Brady Bunch doesn’t have anything on the Morris family with 4 beautiful daughters: We squeezed in a few portraits of mom and dad too, this is one of my favorites: And, the Piθce de rιsistance – you can’t have family Christmas portraits without Santa hats! They weren’t extremely happy to be wearing them, but were good…
