Kati and Andrew’s Aggie Engagement
When you begin an engagement session standing in an alley covered in beer bottle caps, you can expect just about anything to happen! π No, I’m not talking about Mardi Gras on Bourbon Street, I don’t think there’s enough money to get me back there on a Fat Tuesday. I’m talking about the infamous Bottle Cap Alley on University Drive in College Station – this is the location of our start in Kati and Andrew’s recent engagement session. Kati, the owner of the bubbliest personality I know, met Andrew while they were both Aggie students – love at first bite (they met in the SBISA dining hall π ). Love…

Annie and Jared’s Orange Engagement Afternoon
And we’re back! We began back where Jared worked his plan to propose to Annie this past Easter – in his family’s garden, surrounded by orange trees, moscato grape vines, and the sweet sweet hint of love in the air π After professing his love once again, Jared led Annie over to his grandpa’s nearby tractor – “someday this will all be yours!” (or at least that’s what I imagined he would be telling her, though I don’t really think they were caring at this point what I was thinking π ) Haha! I love it when a moment of sponteneity takes over the photoshoot! : π After drying off…

Meagan and Ryder are Getting Married!
Combine perfect weather, perfect light, and a little Captain America and you get a few more of our favorite engagement photos from our time with Meagan and Ryder: It really was difficult to get them to let go of each other once in a while (which really is perfect for engagement photos π ). The above is one of my favorites from the whole day, from the color and foreground framing to the expression and the semi-hidden clutching going on π We had a lot of fun shooting around Beaumont, from there we headed over to Raos Bakery – a place Meagan and Ryder like to hang out in. I…

Emily and Jason are Getting Married!
I met up with Emily and Jason recently to photograph their engagement session here in Beaumont – the weather was perfect, leaves were changing color and Emily couldn’t keep a straight face: See what I mean? π We had the best time that afternoon getting to know each other a bit better and finding out what makes them tick. (hint: penguins play a big part). A *great* couple to hang out with, I loved their relaxed and easy-going style. With light this pretty and a couple this connected, the afternoon seemed to fly by… “I promise officer, she was fine when I last saw her…” π The below image was…

Published in the January Bridal/ Wedding Edition of the VIP Magazine
Just a quick note to say thank you to a couple of our beautiful brides (and handsome groom) Sam, Stacey and Jeremy – they are the feature brides and groom in the current January Bridal and Wedding Edition of VIP Magazine! See pages 21 and 23 for more details. They quoted me and Stacey in the article highlighting how current bridal couples are taking more risks to get great memories from such a great time in their lives. I also discussed Krystal and Ross’s experiential part of their wedding day, something we offer to all our couple’s as a way to slow the blur of their wedding day down and…

Sam and Blake get Married!
Just a warning – if you like beautiful black and white photography, you’re going to love the following blog post. If you don’t, well… π Samantha and Blake were married in Port Arthur’s St. James Catholic Church recently after a whirlwind lifelong romance π The day started like most others, with a tornado of activity at the Urban Retreat Spa in Mid-County: After hours of coifing, mimosas and hairspray, the party moved to St. James. Some of you may remember Sam’s beautiful wedding gown from her NYC Bridal session: Shoes! Marius capturing Blake looking all suave and debonair: Tamara did a beautiful job with the fresh rose bouquets: Here comes…

Kristin and Aarons Engagement in Galveston
It’s not often I meet up with a sherrif’s deputy AND a nuclear scientist in the same afternoon, so when I do I have to bring my camera along π I met up with Aaron and Kristin in Galveston recently for their engagement session – they’re from Southeast Texas, live in the Lake Jackson area and like to hang out in and around Galveston. The weather was a bit nippy and the wind was something fierce! So don’t blame Aaron if his hair is a bit out of place π While around the Strand area, we spent some time touring one of Aaron’s favorite places – the big sailing ship…
