Beaumont Weddings: Stephanie and Ryan

outdoor wedding portraits

Stephanie and Ryan were married recently in a gorgeous ceremony at Praise Christian Center and wedding reception at the Beaumont Country Club!

We began the day bright and early at OnStage Hair Salon where the blushing bride and her besties were given the usual princess treatment 🙂

I *love* the light there 🙂

Afterwards, we made our way over to the church to finish getting ready and meet her love:

Marissa Sellers of Glass Slipper Events, did her always outstanding work, and really had the church (and the Beaumont Country Club to follow) looking perfect with beautiful flowing drapery and sparkly light:

Meanwhile, Marius was with the guys, who always have a little time for pool and the Godfather:

Ryan didn’t even look the slightest bit nervous 🙂

The ladies say a prayer and the big moment arrives:

Yes – the church was lit gorgeously:

Even Pastor Reg sniped me!

Yay! 🙂

We made our way to the Beaumont Country Club:

A little dancing, eating and toasting and we made our way outside for some nice portraits of Mr and Mrs Ryan on the golf course:

We focus mainly on the photo-journalistic moments and emotions of the day, but everyone should plan a little time in their schedule for some nice portraits on their wedding day. 🙂

Back inside, these little fellas couldn’t quite hang as the dancing began:

The Beaumont Country Club looked as swanky as ever:

Congratulations to Stephanie and Ryan!

A little from the bride about her big day:

What was your favorite memory?: seeing Ryan smiling from ear to ear as I was walking down the aisle. He’s not one for giant displays of emotion in front of large crowds but at that moment, nobody else in the room mattered to either of us. I hope I’ll always remember that giddy feeling.

What advice do you have for future couples: Only hire people that care about their product as much as you do. When you work with professionals you don’t have to worry about every single little thing. More importantly, it’s okay to plan every detail leading up to the day, but on the day of wake up smiling knowing that things WILL go wrong, but as long as two people that love each other get married, it was a success.

What was your funniest moment?: Listening to ridiculous rap music 45 mins before the ceremony surrounded by my bridesmaids, family, and amazing pros hired for the wedding day. The rap music made everything seem hilarious and kept the nerves away.

Would you change anything? No. There were ups and downs and I don’t recommend planning a wedding while trying to graduate from grad school, but that day was perfect. It was peaceful, nobody was rushed, and it was and always will be one of the best days of my life.

Where did you spend your honeymoon?: We left the day after our wedding for a Central American cruise to Belize, Honduras, and Cozumel. It was amazing to get away from our hectic lives for a week and really get to spend the beginning of our marriage together away from the hustle and bustle of “the real world”.

Anything else?: During our ceremony, once we were both on stage, our pastor made us stop and look at our bridesmaids, our groomsmen, our families, and our guests. I will forever be grateful for that since I know so many people that don’t remember their ceremony at all. We both have a very clear picture of that moment in our minds and to me that’s priceless. Take time to enjoy all the work you put in 🙂
