Stacey and Jeremy – Let it Rain!

You know, the day really did begin with beautiful weather, a little hot, but bearable. Upon arriving at the gorgeous outdoor setting for Stacey and Jeremy, there was no hint of the coming downpour. Skies were bright, birds were singing, last minute details were being put into place.

As the bridesmaids were getting ready we heard a report of “dark skies to the north of us, but they should blow over fast”.

First the skies darkened, then the winds came, then the rain. Winds of 60+MPH and sideways rain pummeled the setting. ðŸ™

So what’s a resourceful group of lovely bridesmaids to do in such circumstances?

The rain did blow over and we continued getting ready for the big event. Here Stacey’s mom helps with the millyun and one buttons going up her back. The maid of honor stands by ready to lend a hand if needed.

During all the hustle and bustle of last-second preparations, Stacey and Jeremy take a moment to read love letters sent to each other:

Then we begin, skies have cleared a bit and it looks like we’re in the clear.

… but then the wind picked back up, sprinkles began spattering and umbrellas began coming out:

Rain, sleet or snow, the important stuff still happened:

The rain did eventually clear, after the ceremony, after the formals (in the rain) with the bridal party, and the party was on! I’m posting one more here then a few below. Thank you Stacey and Jeremy, I enjoyed my times with you guys this year immensely 🙂
