    Southeast Texas Bridals: Mia

Very few brides come to us having been in front of a camera before – they’re usually shy, a bit reserved, some even say “I could never look like that”. Our best advice when we begin the session is “relax” – our engagement and bridal sessions usually last a couple of hours for a reason: we spend the first 30 minutes warming up to each other. During this time we shoot the stuff their parents are going to want to see: smiling and looking into the camera. Once past the early nervous giggles, we spend an hour or so getting the fun stuff in – always relaxed and never rushed,…

New York City Bridals | Samantha

Way back, in the blistering heat of Sam and Blake’s engagement session on the Kemah Boardwalk I mentioned to Sam I’d be in New York City for a photography seminar the week before her wedding and “wouldn’t it be cool if we could shoot your bridal session up there too”. A flurry of activity later and here we are! Sam and her friends Danielle and Beth had never been to NYC before, and judging by the crowds around us the whole day, New York City had never seen a beautiful Texas girl in a wedding dress – we were swarmed most of the day by people wanting pictures with Sam,…

    Southeast Texas Bridal | Ashleigh

I’m back from New York, it was too much fun! 🙂 I can finally post a few of my favorites from Ashleigh’s bridal session now that she’s a Mrs. 🙂 The weather was perfect and Ashleigh was radiant in her gorgeous wedding dress: Ashleigh carried a bouquet made by Tamara, of Whimsical Creations by Tamara, and Tamara was on-hand to make sure everything went perfect during the photo session. Wait until you see some of her work in the wedding – if you’re looking for someone who does excellent floral design, check out Tamara’s work. 🙂 Back to pretty pictures 🙂 See? I *told* you she was radiant! 🙂 Ashleigh,…

Port Neches Bridal Portraits | Celina

Mrs. Ellis was married yesterday evening in a beautiful ceremony at St Elizabeth Catholic Church, so today we get to share some of our favorites from her bridal session a couple of months ago. You just know the day will prove interesting when the bride shows up with her personalized bag and a baseball bat: Now, if we could just get her out of her dressing trailer: Finally! 😉 All who know Celina know she is probably the friendliest, most sincere and genuine person you’ll ever meet – the 1,000 or so who came to the wedding and reception can attest to that 🙂 Assisted by her parents and Maid…

    Southeast Texas Bridals | Kimberly

And we’re back! 🙂 It’s been a little slow here on the blog but it only appeared calm, it’s feet were churning the water like a duck – we’re in the middle of a busy wedding season and working on albums for our recent brides 🙂 Expect to see bridal sessions for our beautiful brides every Sunday afternoon over the next 6 weeks or so and their weddings later that week 🙂 Kyle and Kimberly were married in a beautiful wedding yesterday in Vidor – you may remember them from their Lake Charles and Beaumont engagement sessions this past Fall, today we share Kimberly’s bridal session at the Brown Mansion…

Port Arthur Bridal Portraits – Shonte

Shonte and Jim were married this past weekend in a beautiful wedding in Port Arthur, so today we get to see her bridal portraits! You may remember their engagement session. 🙂 We photographed her in and around Port Arthur, here are a few from that day: Beautiful sunlight everywhere, I love the texture of the stonework against her dress: This is the one she chose to display at the reception, I love the alternating shadows and light: Bling! Gorgeous light! 🙂 Images from their wedding coming soon!

    Morgin’s Bridal Portraits

Morgin and Patrick’s wonderful wedding was this past weekend, so today we get to see her bridal portraits. 🙂 We photographed her downtown in the Neches Room where they held their wedding reception. Morgin looked incredible, her dress definitely fit Morgin’s Cinderella wedding 🙂 This is the print she chose for her reception, a nice 24×30 metallic print on canvas, many people remarked that it looked like a painting: I loved how the light and shadow played across her dress, eyes, and arms. Here’s some dress lacing detail using the natural window light peeking through the veil lace: Photographers love this kind of light! I think even Ashton Kutcher could…
