We began our beautiful sun-shining day with Amy and her girls brunching at Bistro Le Monde, the posh French cafe on Dowlen: Pleasantly full and ready for the big day ahead, everyone met over at Trey’s mother’s gorgeous home in Old Town – where puppies were underfoot, hairspray was thick in the air, and light curls of smoke could be seen over a flat iron or two: Properly coifed, we made our way downtown to First United Methodist Church – beautiful historic building, where the bridesmaids and bride applied the finishing touches: I love this moment between Amy and her mom: Wow, you’ll never see a more gorgeous bride. Industrial Design Reception ~ Tamara Menges Design
Just in time for Father’s Day! 🙂 Tamara (of the now more-than-famous Tamara Menges Design) had the wild/bright idea to help those DIY’rs out there with only Home Depot to shop in (or their dad’s garage) and came up with an industrial chic design that would make HGTV and StyleMePretty happy: No nails were broken in the construction of this design, tho we did drop a screwdriver or two. 🙂 Pretty cool! 🙂 You don’t have to choose something this far out of the box for your wedding reception decor, but it helps to see what may be possible and adapt it to what you like – urban chic is…

Sam and Blake get Married!
Just a warning – if you like beautiful black and white photography, you’re going to love the following blog post. If you don’t, well… 😉 Samantha and Blake were married in Port Arthur’s St. James Catholic Church recently after a whirlwind lifelong romance 🙂 The day started like most others, with a tornado of activity at the Urban Retreat Spa in Mid-County: After hours of coifing, mimosas and hairspray, the party moved to St. James. For a few weddings now I’ve been lucky enough to work with Tamara Menges, from Whimsical Creations by Tamara, an up-and-coming wedding floral design and decor specialist in our area.
