Ballerina Girl
Our little girl Elise is growing up so fast! 🙂 She began ballet classes this past week with Miss Jacey from the City Dance studio. At 2-and-a-half her pirouettes could use a little work still but she’s nailing the summersaults and wiggles 🙂 The hour-long class does tucker her out, and soon you’ll have to suffer through dance recital photos (after more of David’s soccer photos, of course), but it’s just fun to see her “minding” someone occasionally 😀 Did I mention she’s 2? and-a-half? 🙂 More beautiful images of our gorgeous Southeast Texas Brides coming soon!

Father ~ Daughter Dances and BBQ Ribs
There’s a reason my eyes get misty during every father and daughter dance at wedding receptions: Elise loves her ribs, to our surprise, at my recent birthday party. 🙂 More wedding photos coming soon!

Christmas Portraits – Southeast Texas
Whew! The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity, from personal family fun with our 2 little ones to the many family Christmas photo sessions. 🙂 Here are a few of my favorites from the last few weeks – from 7 months to 96 years young, I really enjoyed being a part of your family for the holidays, even for a short period of time. 🙂 Note: If you are viewing this on our Facebook page, the images are much nicer on the actual blog post. I usually take large group photos and then break the groups down into individual families and even quick individual portraits. It gives…

Beaumont Family Portraits – The Callas Family
I was contacted recently by the Callas family here in Beaumont to photograph their family – a mutual friend (Mark Thompson – an excellent custom interiors person if you’re looking) had referred me. Their 2 beautiful daughters, as well as grandparents, and an aunt, uncle and cousins would be in attendance. Here are a few from that evening – most everything was photographed in the backyard of their beautiful home in Brownstone – first up are daddy’s little girls: A little individual daddy time 🙂 I didn’t shoot them all in black and white 🙂 , here their cousins join in for a little dip in the pool: Ray, his…

Oh Brother!
The other day I met my brother Jerry and his three sons downtown for some fun family portraits. It had been a while since the last ones and was time – they’re growing up so fast. Owen is playing basketball at Ozen High School, Zach is busy with the band at Odom Academy and Aden is playing soccer at his school. They wanted something a little different and fun – here’s a few of what we got 🙂 We began with some nice, smiling into the camera photos, then moved into some more fun images: A while later I asked them to show me some of the most awesome ninja…

Give Thanks
Running a little late adding this one, with everything going on this time of year it’s a wonder I know which day it really is 🙂 Every year at Thanksgiving, my dad’s side of the family gets together for a family reunion. Pretty much each year we have it in a different place, choosing one that’s fairly central to everyone driving from all over the States. This year we stayed at South Toledo Bend State Park (on the Louisiana side). It’s a beautiful area, especially this time of year with the leaves changing, the ducks migrating, and families missing each other. 🙂 We gathered Wednesday afternoon, staying in the area…
