    Whew!

We’ve been a little busy around here – having babies and Mr Mom’ing it to help out is sooooo worth it, but exhausting. 🙂 We’ll be back to our regular routine (more or less) next week – we’ve got beautiful weddings with Jana and Sheila coming, an engagement session with Mandy, exquisite work by Stepanie Do of La Belle Fleur, Tamara from Tamara Menges Designs… Behind the scenes I’m working on wedding albums, yes yours 🙂 They’ll be ready for you to view this coming week as well 🙂 Introducing Audrey Kate 🙂

    Ballerina Girl

Our little girl Elise is growing up so fast! 🙂 She began ballet classes this past week with Miss Jacey from the City Dance studio. At 2-and-a-half her pirouettes could use a little work still but she’s nailing the summersaults and wiggles 🙂 The hour-long class does tucker her out, and soon you’ll have to suffer through dance recital photos (after more of David’s soccer photos, of course), but it’s just fun to see her “minding” someone occasionally 😀 Did I mention she’s 2? and-a-half? 🙂 More beautiful images of our gorgeous Southeast Texas Brides coming soon!

    Summer Time!

… is pretty much over 🙁 It was fun, but HOT! LOTS of beautiful weddings tho, for sure.. stay tuned for their albums as I post’em 🙂 Did you know the Southeast Texas Wedding Preview will be here in just a few weeks? I have 2 free passes available to the first bride to comment in the space below this post 🙂 Unfortunately I won’t be attending myself, I’ll be in New York City attending a weeklong photography seminar with several world-renowned photographers, truly some of the best in the world at what they do. I’m looking forward to learning a lot, eating too much in Little Italy, walking more…

    Bedtime

Getting a few last-minute details ready for Christina and Eric’s wedding tomorrow/today. While formatting my cards I found some images of the family from this summer – at the beach, 4th of July fireworks with family, playing outside, potty training an 18 month old, it’s been an interesting summer around here. 🙂 Here are a couple of photos from the other night. Winding two toddlers down for bedtime can be challenging, Melanie is excellent with them, usually reading a bedtime Bible story helps a lot: I love the peacefulness shown in them – David paying attention intently, Elise in her own little world 🙂 A few of my favorites from…

    It’s Summer!

Summer is here! Spent the afternoon at Port Neches Park with David and Elise – David is an old hand with the water fountains and jumped right in. Elise was pretty new and eased her way in before becoming a fish herself. 🙂 🙂 We’ll make some ice cream tomorrow, spend some time with family and watch the fireworks tomorrow night in downtown Beaumont – it should be a great weekend! Next up is Johnna and Adam’s wedding and Samantha and Blake’s engagement session – both beautiful! 🙂

    Transitions

If you’ve known me for a while, you know I’ve driven a ’98 red 4WD Dodge Durango for a long time – I bought her new (12 years ago yesterday) back when I worked at the Texas Medical Center in Houston on the weekend while going to school for my MBA. She’s taken me skiing in Colorado a few times, to the Pensacola beaches several times, through Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, and all over Texas. In recent years she’s also left me on the side of the road without any warning, and we’ve rebuilt or replaced the transmission, water pump, battery, alternator, and/or radiator way too many times…
