Ethridge Farm Weddings ~ Ginni and Chris

Ginni and Chris were married recently in a gorgeous wedding hosted at Ethridge Farms in Kountze! 🙂 Outdoor weddings in Southeast Texas aren’t all that common – we get ~2 weeks of Spring and ~7 minutes of Fall – otherwise it’s either 30 degrees, 110 degrees or raining. Ginni timed this one perfectly. Kind of out in the middle of no-where, Ethridge Farms’ log cabins and pergola is perfect for outdoor rustic weddings and receptions. Enhanced by the fine talents of Lauren, Kathy and Carmen with K&K Designs, Ginni’s wedding was truly one of the more beautiful outdoor weddings I’ve ever attended. 🙂 Ginni began bright and early with her…

Outdoor Weddings – Rachel and Chunk Get Married

Add equal parts love, family, ink, the outdoors and the mad greasers car club and what do you get? One beautiful fun wedding! We began the day bright and early in the fields of Southeast Texas, right outside Winnie. Rachel and her family were in high DYI gear – the people and things that made Rachel and Chunk’s relationship unique were all over the place 🙂 Lots of beautiful fall color in the flowers, place settings and pergola – with the finishing touches being applied to their outdoor wedding, Rachel (with adoring parents looking on) and her bridesmaids begin their prep: Yes! Almost there! 🙂 Meanwhile, what’s a groom to…

Megan and Aaron’s Wedding ~ II

As Megan walked toward Aaron, you could definitely see the sparkle in his eye 🙂 The outdoor area used for weddings at Agave Road is beautiful. Yay! 🙂 Megan looked gorgeous dancing with the two men in her life. Things quickly got a little more lively 🙂 Megan’s family comes from an Orthodox faith – it was so fun to see tradition embraced in their celebrations and dance. Yay again! Time to go off to some far away locale for a bit of R&R 🙂 …but not before running back for one last hug from mom. Ahhh… great day 🙂

Stacey and Jeremy – Let it Rain!

You know, the day really did begin with beautiful weather, a little hot, but bearable. Upon arriving at the gorgeous outdoor setting for Stacey and Jeremy, there was no hint of the coming downpour. Skies were bright, birds were singing, last minute details were being put into place. As the bridesmaids were getting ready we heard a report of “dark skies to the north of us, but they should blow over fast”. First the skies darkened, then the winds came, then the rain. Winds of 60+MPH and sideways rain pummeled the setting. 🙁 So what’s a resourceful group of lovely bridesmaids to do in such circumstances? 🙂 The rain did…

    Stacey and Jeremy are Married!

I can’t say I’ve ever photographed a wedding in the rain before tonight, but neither torrential rain nor driving wind could keep Stacey and Jeremy from their appointed destiny this evening! 🙂 I just got in from one of the most fun and entertaining weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a part of. If you remember Stacey and Jeremy’s engagement session, you remember a fun and funny couple up for anything and just having a blast doing it. With an over-capacity crowd on hand in their beautiful Nederland back yard, the skies darkened and dumped rain by the buckets right in the middle of their vows. Bridesmaids and…

    Jeanne and David

Jeanne and David were married this past weekend at the historic Brown Center in Orange: – while it was pouring to the right and left of us, the skies opened, the clouds parted, and sun shown down on a beautiful ceremony. It was also a fun day in that I got to work with Angel Dauphine – thanks to her care the day was smooth and flawless. Jeanne getting a little assistance with all the lacing in her beautiful wedding dress: Shoes! Meanwhile, Marius is doing yeoman’s work covering David and his groomsmen (cue music from “The Godfather”): After all the getting ready was done, Jeanne prepares to walk down…
