Kati and Andrew’s Aggie Engagement
When you begin an engagement session standing in an alley covered in beer bottle caps, you can expect just about anything to happen! π No, I’m not talking about Mardi Gras on Bourbon Street, I don’t think there’s enough money to get me back there on a Fat Tuesday. I’m talking about the infamous Bottle Cap Alley on University Drive in College Station – this is the location of our start in Kati and Andrew’s recent engagement session. Kati, the owner of the bubbliest personality I know, met Andrew while they were both Aggie students – love at first bite (they met in the SBISA dining hall π ). Love…

Annie and Jared’s Orange Engagement Afternoon
And we’re back! We began back where Jared worked his plan to propose to Annie this past Easter – in his family’s garden, surrounded by orange trees, moscato grape vines, and the sweet sweet hint of love in the air π After professing his love once again, Jared led Annie over to his grandpa’s nearby tractor – “someday this will all be yours!” (or at least that’s what I imagined he would be telling her, though I don’t really think they were caring at this point what I was thinking π ) Haha! I love it when a moment of sponteneity takes over the photoshoot! : π After drying off…

Annie and Jared are Getting Married! (sneak peek)
Annie and Jared’s Spring wedding in Galveston is coming pretty fast, I’m so looking forward to it! π This past week during a break in the icy winter temps we met them in Orange for their engagement session. Here’s a sneak peek at one of my favorites from our afternoon together: Most of our time was spent in Jared’s backyard garden and pond – the site of his proposal to his one true love π It made for some beautiful photos, but even better will be the memories in the future when they tell their children – “yeah, that’s where we used to hang out… and right over there is…

Meagan and Ryder are Getting Married!
Combine perfect weather, perfect light, and a little Captain America and you get a few more of our favorite engagement photos from our time with Meagan and Ryder: It really was difficult to get them to let go of each other once in a while (which really is perfect for engagement photos π ). The above is one of my favorites from the whole day, from the color and foreground framing to the expression and the semi-hidden clutching going on π We had a lot of fun shooting around Beaumont, from there we headed over to Raos Bakery – a place Meagan and Ryder like to hang out in. I…

Emily and Jason are Getting Married!
I met up with Emily and Jason recently to photograph their engagement session here in Beaumont – the weather was perfect, leaves were changing color and Emily couldn’t keep a straight face: See what I mean? π We had the best time that afternoon getting to know each other a bit better and finding out what makes them tick. (hint: penguins play a big part). A *great* couple to hang out with, I loved their relaxed and easy-going style. With light this pretty and a couple this connected, the afternoon seemed to fly by… “I promise officer, she was fine when I last saw her…” π The below image was…

Kristin and Aarons Engagement in Galveston
It’s not often I meet up with a sherrif’s deputy AND a nuclear scientist in the same afternoon, so when I do I have to bring my camera along π I met up with Aaron and Kristin in Galveston recently for their engagement session – they’re from Southeast Texas, live in the Lake Jackson area and like to hang out in and around Galveston. The weather was a bit nippy and the wind was something fierce! So don’t blame Aaron if his hair is a bit out of place π While around the Strand area, we spent some time touring one of Aaron’s favorite places – the big sailing ship…

Kay and Aaron are Getting Married!
I first met Aaron back in Lauree and Shane’s wedding this past May as he and Kay played some smooth jazz during the reception. He was laid-back and cool, the way a string-bass player can only be. I didn’t know at the time his smooth-ness was his woo-ing the Ms. Kay Miller, pianist and vocalist extraodinaire. I’ve known Kay many years, having played in the worship band at Christ Community Church together for years. Kay and Aaron met during classes at Lamar State College Port Arthur’s new Commercial Music and Recording Arts program (you’ve seen her in the commercials – oh, and she graduated this past weekend – congratulations Kay!).…
