Beaumont Engagements | Christina and Eric
I’ve known Christina and her family since she was a baby (I used to sing in the church choir with her parents when I was a teenager) and Eric for at least 10 years, so I was pretty happy when they approached me about photographing the events leading up to their wedding this coming August. 🙂
We met at the park down in Pleasure Island – my first visit there since the last hurricane. It’s recovering pretty well tho you can still see the watermarks on the bridge 20 or more feet in the air. Definitely lots of wildlife (gator, birds, raccoons, etc.) scampering around the marsh.
The weather was perfect – a lotta sun, a little breeze and two lovebirds singing and whispering little nothings in each other’s ears. 🙂
We found an old playground on the far end of the park and risked each other’s lives climbing on the rickety fractured wooden walkway. We came away with a little rust on our pants, a splinter or two and some very nice images:
In the image below, we were trying to find our way out of this ginormous fort/playhouse thing on Fun Island… they seemed a little distracted tho:
🙂
Free at last! Free at last!
Eric proposed down by the bridge crossing the Sabine Lake causeway – pretty close to this spot here. We hurried down there right before the sun was setting:
Fun afternoon 🙂
You guys will get better aquainted with the couple as the Summer progresses, stick around 🙂
